Attending a bridal show as a newly engaged couple is exciting. You get to show off your ring, have hundreds of people tell you “congratulations”, get inspiration for your big day, and meet wedding industry experts. All this things are true, but there is work to be done before you walk through those doors.

We want to sure some things that will make your bridal show experience a little more blissful.

Sign up online. Completing your registration online will save you time and a long line on bridal show day.

Bring a sidekick for the day. It’s good to have a second opinion and set of eyes. It doesn’t hurt to have an additional person to help you hold all the giveaway swag too.

Wedding email account. Create a separate wedding email  account before attending a bridal show. This will help you stay organized and keep wedding correspondences separate. You can’t delete the account after the wedding to stop the continuous emails from wedding vendor signups.

Create labels.  On your labels include:your name, mailing address, email address, wedding date, and phone number. Several vendors will ask for this information to follow up and enter you into their individual giveaways. 

Be prepared to chat. Vendors want to spend time with you to share their offerings. Take the time to stop and listen, it may be just what you were looking for. 

Take notes. Make a list of things you liked about a vendor or ideas you want to incorporate in your wedding day.

Be prepared physically. Some bridal shows are massive and you need to be prepared. Some shows can take you a few hours to get through. Wear comfortable shoes, there will be a lot of walking. Bring a bottle of water,there will be many opportunities to sample food & cakes.
