Hello & Happy New Year!!

2015 has been a year of clarity. I’ve seen several people choose a word for 2016, I decided to do the same. Forward! That’s our word. In 2016 we will move forward with things that will propel Blush Event Company to service more clients and be the expert support they need along their planning journey.

As we focus on 2016 goals, I wanted to share a few highlights from the past 12 months with you!

BEC Services Revamp

For the last year I have worked hard to really understand what my company would be and what I enjoy most of my beloved wedding industry. Logistics & Wedding Event Management, especially day-of support!! This realization has prompted me to restructure what Blush Event Company (BEC) is all about. Check out our services! We wanted to be very clear about who we serve and what services we offer.

We Got Published

We were honored to be featured in The Celebration Society latest print issue and on their blog. Our gorgeous Urban Glam wedding photo shoot was selected to share with their readers. How He Asked blog featured one of our sweet couple’s proposal story. We were asked to do guest blogging for this amazing website and we kindly accepted the offer! So more stories, tips, and all things proposals will be shared throughout 2016 on their site.

Wedding Creative Sessions

Wow!! The success of Wedding Creative Sessions 1st workshop in October was mind blowing. My partner in crime, Janel of Janel Elise Events, and I created continuing education series for novice wedding professionals. The sessions are focused-agenda workshops for those looking to grow their wedding business in an intimate setting. Attendees walk away with tangible tools, templates, and priceless knowledge to nurture their business and move to the next level. We handpick experienced speakers who are willing to share their expertise and motivate attendees to flourish.

Speaking Gigs

I’ve had the honor of being a guest instructor at Clayton State University for the past two years. The Event & Meeting Planning certificate program was a blessing to me when I was a newbie in the industry. It’s great to have the opportunity to give back and share my experiences with novice wedding and event planners.

I Got Engaged

Planner Bride Alert!! My Prince Charming decided to put a ring on it (in my Beyoncé voice)! On Thanksgiving morning, he got down on one knee and made me the happiest lady on Earth. I get to exchange vows with my Hunny! I will definitely share my own wedding planning journey here.

Thanks to you all who supported Blush Event Company in 2015 and we look forward to serving others in 2016! I hope your 2016 will bring growth and greatness to your life. What’s your 2016 word?
